In the Old West, a prospector was an explorer, a risk taker and usually someone seeking riches. At Systemation, our prospector is looking to share “gold” with companies in need. Each year, Mark reaches out to 2,000 companies to listen to their stories and challenges. If any of our project management, business analysis or agile development services might be able to cure a pain or smooth the road, Mark puts you in touch with the right Systemation expert to brainstorm possibilities with you.
Four years of Division 1 soccer, culminating in the role of team captain, bespeak Mark’s diligence, focus and perseverance. When a ball flies toward you at 80 miles per hour, you must make assessments and decisions faster than an eye can blink. Mark can assimilate a conversation — both what’s spoken and what’s not — and formulate great follow-up questions at the speed of light.
Humble, articulate and highly likable, Mark embodies small-town Iowa charm and Chicago business savvy. At Loyola University of Chicago’s School of Business, where he earned a BBA in Economics, he spent his free time in a club that discussed and analyzed current economic events. Pssst…he still likes to do that.
Tasty Tidbit!
What was your most embarassing moment ever?
“I was swimming off the coast of Southern California. The waves were strong that day, much stronger than the drawstring on my swim trunks. In the blink of an eye, I lost my suit and was unable to find it. Thankfully, my cousin was able to grab a towel and bring it to me in the water.”
Mark just shrugs as he recalls the scene. He counts events like this as learning experiences and immediately sets his attention toward the next goal.
