Advanced Certificate in Business Analysis Program
The Advanced Certificate in Business Analysis Program is perfectly suited for individuals working on large, highly visible projects that are designed to meet very complex business needs. For analysts who need an in-depth understanding and grasp of key techniques such as behavior and data modeling, this Program takes the Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Program to the next level.
Consisting of three intensive but highly digestible workshops, the Advanced Certificate in Business Analysis Program focuses on enterprise analysis and requirements analysis, documentation and implementation. Participants learn the ins and outs of the data modeling, the power of entity relationship diagramming and best practice in system design, solution implementation and impact communication. Finally, Systemation keeps it real with an authentic simulation that provides a "reenactment" of a true-to-life emergency business scenario.

Advanced Business Analysis (three days) Modeling languages have been used for decades by system analysts and system developers. In this workshop, participants will learn the ins and outs of the Unified Modeling Language. Known as UML, this language is a key foundation component of the Object Management Group's Model-driven Architecture. UML helps you make better decisions earlier in the system development life cycle, thus enhancing quality and reducing project time and cost. Participants also will learn the power of entity relationship diagramming (ERD), which complements modeling with UML. ERDs meet the unique challenges posed by requirements data modeling. Applying them early in the requirements discovery phases of a project helps you to enhance requirements communication. Download course outline PDF 214k

Bringing Business Solutions to Life (two days) This workshop focuses on one of the most critical BA process areas that are most often over looked, the actual implementation of the requirements. It is tied to the business case development, requirements validation and testing aspects of the project. This ensures what is delivered in the end is what was expected from the beginning. Participants also learn how to convert the requirements to the specifications required for solution evaluation, selection, and usability. Additionally, the workshop provides IT language and concepts that are critical to Analyst being able to effectively communicate with IT staff. Download course outline PDF 214k

Business Analysis Simulation (two days) The most important factor in successfully implementing new tools, techniques and skills is to apply them in real life situations. Business Analysis Simulation is a capstone workshop to complete the Advanced Certificate in Business Analysis Program. It is designed to offer a variety of hands on, practical and comprehensive opportunities to work in a project environment. As with all Systemation workshops, participants will be working in teams. The success of each team is dependent upon their ability to think critically, react accordingly to unexpected situations and apply the knowledge and skills they have gained through previous workshops and on the job experience. Participants will finish the workshop at a competent level knowing that they can apply their knowledge and be self directed to perform the work necessary for project success.
